// Anna Livia Dörr is a visual artist based in Munich.


Anna Livia Dörr's works deal with challenge and loss of control, approach and distance and the uncertainty in between. The artist seeks an experimental approach to ceramic masses, explores their characteristics, allows breaks and fragments to exist. Her ceramics are image, image carrier and sculpture in equal measure, and her handling of line, surface and color is also partly graphic, painterly and partly sculptural in nature.

Ihre Arbeiten handeln von Herausforderung und Kontrollverlust, von Annäherung und Distanz und der Ungewissheit dazwischen. Die Künstlerin sucht den experimentellen Umgang mit keramischen Massen, reizt deren Charakteristika aus, lässt Brüche zu und Fragmente bestehen. Ihre Keramiken sind Bild, Bildträger und Skulptur gleichermaßen, auch ihr Umgang mit Linie, Fläche und Farbe ist teils grafisch, malerisch, teils bildhauerischer Natur.
